"In the fall I was very stressed about college applications and what I would write for all my college essays. When I started at Hollenback Consulting I had no plan or direction for the college application experience, Linda quickly fixed this issue as not only did she lay out a plan for when to write the essays but also suggestions for what to write about. As someone who struggles to come up with writing ideas, Linda made it easy and led me in the right direction for each essay.
Because of Hollenback Consulting, I was not only able to get into my dream school but got accepted into every school I applied to."

“Linda specifically encourages the young adults to accept failures and use them as stepping stones to success and greater things in life. The unconditional support and courage to make mistakes yet come out even more successful at the end of the journey allows for lifelong learning and results in a far-reaching impact.
These lessons are not something you can buy from Amazon, they have to be learned. I want families to understand that this is not just a business, Linda provides a holistic and humanistic touch which is priceless.”

Frequently Asked Questions
+ When should I begin the college planning process?
Starting early allows you to minimize the pressure for your son or daughter. We recommend reaching out to schedule a free strategy session starting middle to end of ninth grade/freshman year. You can also download our free roadmap for more information.
+ My child is a high school junior. We are feeling behind. Are we too late?
While planning early allows greater opportunity to build your child's college candidacy, it's never too late to reach out to Hollenback Consulting. We are here for you no matter where you and your teen are in the college/career journey.
+ Do you help students write admissions essays?
Hollenback Consulting adheres to strict ethical standards of HECA and NACAC. As such, we support teens in developing application strategy, in brainstorming essay topics, and with essay editing to ensure proper grammar and effective story flow. Students are responsible to write their own, original essays.
+ Do you hold in-person coaching sessions?
No, all services are delivered 100% virtually for your convenience. No need to worry about adding commute times to already busy teen schedules.
+ How often do you meet with teens during college planning?
This depends on your teen's needs, where you are in the college/career journey, and the coaching service selected. For most college planning students, we will meet monthly during 9th and 10th grade. By winter of junior year, coaching shifts to biweekly check-ins with regular, weekly communications (and meetings as needed) during the heart of the college application process in summer following junior year.
+ Are you able to help our family with financial aid and scholarships?
When it comes to paying for college, I always recommend families speak with a financial advisor or Certified College Financial Consultant to review their situation and the opportunities for funding education. Hollenback Consulting offer families support in creating a strategic school list that strives to maximize financial aid opportunities. We also support scholarship applications and can provide general guidance on completing the FAFSA and CSS profile.
